Vintage Rugs : Vintage rugs by Carpetu2 are produced from older Persian handmade rugs aged at least 40-60 years with a long history.
Each rug is carefully selected and subjected to a unique process of reducing the pile to a minimum and neutralizing the color before to be painted in a new exciting color.
The result is a combination of the old with the new, the traditional rug design combined with a modern retro style.
Vintage rugs can lose some of their original features and become even more unique in their appearance over time in modern new colors and old unique designs.

Farahan Rugs : The area Farahan is located in Central Iran, about 580 km south of Tehran between the cities Arak, Qum and Kashan. Nowadays, in Western countries Farahan rugs are also known as Mahal. These rugs have solid construction and fine designs. To create them mineral colours are used that give a copper-rust green colour. They often have got a blue background in the pile, with repeating Herati designs and a medallion that is surrounded by roses and other flowers with delicate lines in a variety of colours. Their wool is soft and of very good quality, which allows for a very fine and tight weave.
Classic rugs: Rugs that are woven in urban centres in fixed workshops and looms(as opposed to nomads). Their designs are first done on paper by rug designers. These designs are strictly conducted by the weaver during the manufacturing. Even in these rugs, though there may be slight variations in weaving.
